Circuit Board Tester

A circuit board package is tested by electrically connecting horizontal and vertical test points simultaneously upon closing the tester. The test points are connected through spring probes.

A circuit board package is made up of connecting card 1 having connectors 2, and circuit cards 3. The package is inserted in the position shown and tester top 4 is moved downwardly for closing. Top 4 has spring probes 5 for contacting test points on card 1. Mechanically connected to top 4 are vertically translatable spring probe 6, and horizontally translatable spring probes 7 and 8. Probes 7 and 8 are carried by slider 9.
