Abstract

Cured epoxy resin-glass laminates can be identified as to type of resin by applying a drop of concentrated sulfuric acid, heating and noting the color. The resulting color can be used to distinguish each of several epoxy resins presently used in manufacture. After noting the color, the acid can be washed off and the laminate used.
