Paper Compaction Belt

A belt which is suitable for use as a paper compaction belt is shown.

The belt comprises a standard timing belt 10 to which a series of fingers 12 are added. Fingers 12 are molded from a suitable material such as nylon and are designed to be replaceable in the event of excessive wear or damage. The fingers 12 are mounted through a pair of holes 16 in the belt 10. A finger aligning part 18 is inserted through holes 16 to hold fingers 12 in position. Parts 18 also provides a self-tracking, self-aligning function when belt 10 is run on a grooved pulley or shaft.
