Abstract

Panel 1 of the display unit has a sawtooth cross section. Flanks 2 are roughened and opaque, respectively, so that within an angle alpha the displayed information is not recognizable. Flanks 3 are transparent and render the image recognizable from an angle > alpha, preferably in the direction of arrow 4.

Panel Rendering Displayed Information Unrecognizable from a certain Angle of View

Such a panel can be used, for example, to safeguard the bank secret whenever the displayed information is to be recognizable to the operator, but not to a bank customer facing the display unit within the angular area alpha.
