Abstract

In a transfer electrographic copier having a collator and a duplex mode (two-sided copying), it is not necessary to operate the collator when the first side is being produced. Accordingly, AND circuit A turns off collator motor M whenever side one is being produced in the copier. AND circuit A activates motor M, via power supply (PS) only when the copier is operating as indicated by the operate signal from the control circuits, it is not side one, and the duplex mode has been selected via the operator's panel. In the simplex or one-sided copy production mode, the collator motor is operated whenever the copier is operating.
