Josephson Frequency Analyzer

A Josephson device is used at the input end of a broadband instantaneous frequency measuring (IFM) system which is associated with a large capacity signal processor.

The Josephson device, because of its inherent characteristics, provides a readily digitized output signal indicative of the instantaneous input frequency sensed. The device acts as a frequency-to-voltage converter with a large bandwidth, e.g., >100GHz, and an accuracy only limited by atomic clock standards.
