Magnetic Card Recording System

This is a system for enabling on-site magnetic badge duplication.

The proposed svstem is based on the use of master magnetic cards which are recorded and checked at the same message and reading motion as the conventional badge when in use.

The only difference with the latter is that master cards are made out of a material with a high coercivity (Hc = 600 to 800 oersteds).

Slave magnetic unrecorded cards (badges) with lower coercivity (250 oersteds) are also provided. Whenever a badge copy is needed, the corresponding master card is picked up and passed with an unrecorded slave card into a magnetic copying machine made available on the site. This machine allows magnetic copying operation by image process, keeping the information recorded on the master card with sufficiently low alterations, and, therefore, enabling several copies to be made from one master card.
