Cascode T/2/L Circuit

The cascode transistor-transistor logic (T/2/L) circuit includes, in combination, components of two circuit families, T/2/L and current switch (CS).

TTL1 and TTL2 are AND invert (AI) gates. The standard current switch, comprising transistors T5, T6 and T7, controls the current through nodes E and
H. The current source is provided by the combination of transistor T8, resistor RS and power supplies VS and VEE. RP is a pull-up resistor. Input levels compatible with the current switch inputs, I and J, may be generated by emitter- follower outputs (not shown), whereby levels compatible with the T/2/L circuit inputs A, B, C, D and E, F, G are available at K and L.

The logical outputs are L = (I+J)EFG K = (I.J)ABCD.
