Staging Fixture

A part to be serviced can be rotatably driven and axially translated in either direction with diametrically opposed one-way rotational clutches.

Staging fixture 1 has rotational one-way clutch 2 for locking against shaft 3 when driven in the direction of arrow 4. Also, included as a part of fixture 1 is rotational one-way clutch 5 which is oriented for locking against shaft 3 when driven in the direction of arrow 6. Therefore, for either direction of rotation of fixture 1, shaft 3 will be similarly rotated.

The locking effect between fixture 1 and shaft 3 is only in the rotational direction for facilitating servicing, such as testing, grinding, etc., of a part 7 connected to shaft 3. The axial positioning of part 7 in the direction of arrow 8 is not affected by the rotational lock effected by clutches 2 and 5.
