Abstract

It is desirable in bubble lattice devices that the state of the bubble, which represents data, not change after it has been generated. The state-change at a given inplane field bias has been observed to occur only after a punch-through of a Bloch loop in a bubble domain wall has been effected. It takes a specific time duration for the Bloch loop to punch through at a given drive field.

It is desirable in bubble lattice devices that the state of the bubble, which represents data, not change after it has been generated. The state-change at a given inplane field bias has been observed to occur only after a punch-through of a Bloch loop in a bubble domain wall has been effected. It takes a specific time duration for the Bloch loop to punch through at a given drive field.

The state change may be suppressed by moving a bubble with a pulse width that is shorter than the punch-through time required at that drive field.
