Stored Interrupts

A circuit is provided to store a second interrupt request occurring in the attachment for attaching a disk storage drive to a computer system when a first interrupt request is still being serviced.

A first Set Interrupt signal sets latch 10 but not latch 15. If a second Set Interrupt signal occurs prior to a Reset Interrupt signal, then latch 15 is set. Thereafter, if a Reset Interrupt signal occurs, latch 15 is reset but latch 10 remains set to maintain the Interrupt Request signal. A second Reset Interrupt signal will then reset latch 10. Of course, if the Reset Interrupt signal occurs prior to a second Set Interrupt signal but after a first Set Interrupt signal, latch will be reset. This arrangement prevents loss of the second interrupt.
