Abstract

In display devices based upon electrochromic effects, a black image more readily visible to the naked eye can be obtained by using mixtures of electrochromic species. It has been found most desirable to use, for example, two materials which have oxidation potentials relatively close to each other, for example, within several hundredths of a volt.
