Pneumatic Three Sort Mechanism for Electronic Module Handler

The drawing illustrates a pneumatic three sort mechanism. Initial Set-Up Procedure:

Energize valve V1A, allowing compressed air to pass through port 1A of cylinder #1 which causes the piston rod thereof to move to its extended position. Move the shuttle carrier against the end of this piston rod. Apply air to port 2B of cylinder #2. Then move the frame assembly in the direction required to allow proper alignment of the sort 2 chute with the entry station. Then lock the frame assembly in place. Denergize valve V1A; thus, no air is allowed to pass through port 1A. The shuttle carrier is moved to the left or home position by the piston rod of cylinder #2, allowing the sort 1 chute to be aligned with the entry station. For fine alignment, adjust and lock the bumper stop. Energize valve V2A, allowing air to pass through port 2A of cylinder 2 which causes the piston rod thereof to move to its extended position. The sort 3 chute is opposite the entry station. For fine alignment, adjust and lock the bumper stop. Denergize valve V2A. The alignment is completed. Operation Procedure:.
