Bottom Sheet Paper Feed

This device uses a wave generator sheet feed device of the type basically disclosed in U. S. Patent 3,008,709.

In this device a stack of sheets 10 are supported on stationary metal support plate 11, The forward edge of this stack is supported by a thin, movable belt 12, as this belt passes over the three stationary idler rollers 13. A wave generator wheel 14, having a plurality of idler rollers 15 located on its periphery, is mounted within the belt. Wheel 14 is driven clockwise by means not shown.

As wheel 14 turns, belt 12 is driven clockwise by the wave generator effect described in the above-mentioned patent. As the belt moves, the bottom sheets of the stack shingle to the right, the lower sheet shingling the greatest distance and the upper sheets shingling a progressively lesser amount.

A sheet drive means (not shown) engages the right-hand leading edge of the lower sheet when it has shingled a given amount.

Belt 12 operates to reduce noise and marking of the sheets by the wave generator.
