Oscillations in document pocket selector blade mechanisms may be effectively damped by the use of a damper brush structure.

As shown above, a brush 3, comprising a plurality of flexible bristles 5, is mounted so that when document selector blade 7 is moved to its active or "up" position, as shown in solid lines, from its inactive or "down" position, as shown in dotted lines, blade 7 contacts the extended bristles of damper brush 3, and the damping thereby induced reduces the unwanted mechanical vibrations of blade
