Eccentric Adjustment for Centering Lens

This article describes a mechanism to adjust two dimensions of movement in order to center a lens in its mount.

A lens 10 is held by a C-ring 11 which is placed into a lens mount 12. To center the lens, an eccentric 13 is provided to adjust the C-ring 11 relative to the mount 12 to move the lens in an "up-down" radius using eccentric 14 as a pivot point. Next, eccentric 13 is used as a pivot point and eccentric 14 is adjusted to move the lens in a "left-right" dimension to complete the centering of the lens.
