Abstract

Contact 10 can be provided with a force point 12 which relieves the force exerted by the insertion of circuit cards 16 into the connector. Contacts 10 are molded in carrier 14 and extend in opposite directions from the carrier. Circuit cards 16 can now be inserted on either side of carrier 14 so that the contact 10 makes electrical connections through carrier 14 between circuit cards 16. The force point 12 limits the deflection of contact 10 at its points of exit from the carrier 14 so as to prevent fatigue of the connector at those points.
