Abstract

Improper insertion of a printed circuit card and holder assembly into a main circuit board is prevented. This is realized by providing the holder with a key that cooperates with a slot in the stiffener associated with the main circuit board. Each leg 1 of card holder indicated generally at 2 is provided with a key 3. Stiffener 4, attached to the main circuit board, includes a plurality of cross rails 5 extending between adjacent stiffeners. The spacing between rails 5 is limited to the width of contact housing 6. Slots 7 in the front side of vertical posts 8 cooperate with key 3 to properly position the holder assembly. Since slots 7 are provided in the front edge only, improper circuit holder insertion is prevented.
