Abstract

This circuit for a high-current solid state switch provides increased current carrying capacity. Diodes D1 and D2 are added to the transformer driven bipolar switch between the common connection for the emitters of transistors T1 and T2 and the output connections designated 1 and 2 for allowing a greater load current. Current flow from output 1 to 2 is through T1 and D2. Current flow from output 2 to 1 is through T2 and D1. The additional diodes do not hinder normal low-current operation.
