Abstract

The feed mechanism transfers an abrasive slurry to a wire saw. An idler wheel is set in motion by the main drive wheel of the wire saw. The lower part of the idler wheel rotates in an abrasive slurry tank. The slurry is carried by capillary action upwards to the rim of the main drive wheel to be supplied to the moving wire.
