Abstract

The circuit is for superimposing waveforms on test load 3 which is supplied power from source 2. Under normal operation, the electrical power is supplied through injector circuit 4 to test load 3. To supply a rectangular waveform, switch 5 of a rectangular wave generating circuit 6 is closed allowing capacitor 7 to discharge through terminal 8 to load 3. Then the closing of switch 9 shorts capacitor 7 and completes rectangular wave discharge. To supply a cyclic signal, switch 10 is closed, allowing charged delay line 11 to discharge through terminal 8 to load 3. The cyclic signal results from the wavefront being reflected through delay line 11. Balancing resistor 12 is connected across delay line 11 terminals to allow a constant impedance ratio between load 3 and delay line 11.
