Abstract

This diffusing disk is for use in front of a projection lens to dim down the center hot spot and to make the light more uniform. The disk has an opaque center portion 1 which is aligned between the lamp and target. Portion 1 is encircled by a narrow transparent light leak 2 which prevents the formation of a smoke ring ordinarily formed with such devices.
