Abstract

This circuit provides the function f = G F + G D and its inverse. The function for f = G f + G D and inverse is also available. To operate without saturation, input G is lower in voltage level than output f or input D. Also, V2 is lower than V1 by the same amount. The lower voltages can be achieved by translating through an emitter-follower. For a single current source and with G negative, the output devices switch in phase with D. When G is switched positive, the output latches into whatever state it is in prior to switching to G. The input D is no longer able to affect output F. When G is switched negative, the output goes to the same level as the D input.
