Abstract

Seal 10 is utilized to provide a gasket seal between a pair of structural members such as wall 11 and door 12 which opens in the direction of arrow 13. Seal 10 is an extruded member having a tapering margin 15. Seal 10 has a section having arrow-shaped cross-section projecting from surface 16 which has portions removed following the extrusion process to form a series of equally spaced darts 17. Door flange 18 has a series of apertures having the same longitudinal spacing as darts 17 and the same rectangular dimensions as the cross-section of the shanks 20 of darts 17. Gasket 10 is mounted to door 12 by inserting darts 17 through the flange 18 apertures. The gasket is firmly retained and provides wiping contact with the adjoining wall surface.
