Abstract

The removable type-position indicator arranged to indicate the next character to be struck. Such an arrangement is particularly useful in Computer Assisted Instruction and the like. The indicator is made by fabricating a section of spring steel wire 1 in a manner so as to provide a small elongated loop 2 at its center. At the ends of wire 1 there are affixed sleeves 3 adapted to provide ease and convenience in mounting the indicator on or removing it from ribbon lifts 4. In the unkeyed position, the loop indicates the position of the next character to be struck. When a key is struck, the indicator moves up with lifts 4 to make room for the printing of the character.
