Abstract

The diagnostic probe assembly 10 at A has probe element 11 and plug 12. The latter is received directly in the back panel wiring of a machine and can be moved between boards or between machines as required. Assembly 10 can be plugged into any backpanel without the requirement of special hardware or independent power supply. Drawing B is representative of a typical probe circuit that is implemented to match the logic family with which it is to be used.
