Abstract

Paralleled PNP emitter-followers can be combined with an associated NPN Inverter to form a logic circuit. In such circuit the emitter current of the input transistor is switched to base current for the Inverter in a manner similar to the current switch type of circuit. The circuit has the advantages of small voltage swings compared to diode transistor circuits, of low-power consumption, and of a wide variation of numbers of inputs and outputs.
