Abstract

This angularly adjustable coupling can be locked into adjustment by tightening bolt 10. The coupling includes rubber compression member 11 that is shaft-mated to flange 12 of driving shaft 13 by a protrusion and hole connection. Member 11 is placed against serrated disk 14 comprising an end of driven shaft 15. Bolt 10 extends from shaft 15 to shaft 13. With the bolt 10 loosely in position, shafts 13 and 15 are set to assume a desired position with respect to one another. Then, bolt 10 is tightened to compress member 11 between flange 12 and disk 14 so that a solid unit is formed. In this manner, drive is by rubber in shear rather than by friction alone.
