Abstract

Card stop 10 is mounted on leaf spring member 13 within recess 11 formed in upper document guide 12. Electro-magnet 15 is mounted at an opening in lower card guide 16 and positioned to attract stop 10 when the coil is energized. Stop 10 is normally urged by spring 13 toward the dotted position and moved by electro-magnet 15 to the full line position. This occurs when it is desired to capture document 18 between stop 10 and lower document guide upper surface 19.
