Abstract

The circuit detects error-causing perturbations prior to the occurrence of errors at the output of a computer storage array. The circuit which monitors the noise level is a microprogram control store 10. An indication is given if the noise is of sufficient level to cause a probable error in the output word from store 10. The latter is cycled periodically to provide output words which are sensed by sense amplifiers 12. The noise level on dummy sense line 20 is related to the noise in store 10. Thus the noise in store 10 is monitored by sensing, in amplifier 22, the noise level on line 20. Threshold device 24 provides an indication when the noise in store 10 reaches a level likely to cause error in the output word.
