Abstract

Gearing which prevents jamming by granular material is obtained by removing alternate teeth and portions of the root of gears 10 and 11. The removed areas of the gears are designated by the broken lines 12. The extra space between and above the gear teeth prevents granular material, such as the developer composition in a xerographic copying machine, from clogging the gears.
