Abstract

This multipurpose probe is for insertion into the housing of a slip on connector such as used to make external connections to printed circuit boards. The probe is also adapted for gripping the square pin used on the printed circuit main connection board. The probe includes circular body 1 with longitudinal slot 2 extending a partial distance of body 1 dividing the probe into two sections. The lower section is provided with a forward extending portion 3 of reduced diameter that is adapted to enter housing 4 and make contact with clamp 5 on tuning fork connector 6. The upper section of the probe is stepped back from the lower section and includes semicircular groove 7 adapted to engage square pin 8 fixed to the main connection board.
