Abstract

A quick but firm attachment of a strip record trailer in a reel of complementary configuration is shown. Reel 30 is formed of two mating sections, of plastic or other suitable material, providing hub portion 34 and flange portions 36 and 37. Trailer 40, of width substantially equal to the lateral spacing between flange portions 36 and 37, has a necked-down terminal portion 44 which is inserted into a gripping slot in hub 34. This slot lies at an angle of approximately 30 Degrees with respect to a radial line at hub 34. Within the latter are two gripping posts 46 and 47, integral with the respective flange portions 36 and 37, which accept the end of terminal portion 44 in a secure grip.
