Abstract

A graphite pencil to expediently repair or fabricate circuits can be used in lieu of the present phototechniques. As shown, the graphite pencil is drawn between the break until sufficient material is deposited to electrically connect the conductor. To enhance the adhesion properties, either palladium or stannous chloride or both can be added to the graphite. After applying the graphite, the substrate is subjected to an electroless copper plating bath and tinned in the conventional manner.
