Abstract

The printing point of a typewriter is accurately indicated to the operator by projection of a right image from lamp 1 onto typing paper 2. Lens 3 directs iight from lamp 1 against angled mirror 4 and through manually settable brightness control aperture 5 onto the writing line of paper 2 at the exact printing point. Paper 2 thus can be adjusted for the accurate insertion of characters. Lamp 1 further serves to indicate when the typewriter motor is on or off through an appropriate aperture 6 in the machine cover.
