Abstract

Cards are fed from stacks 10 and 11 to upper and lower card wait stations 12 and 13 respectively. Cards are held against movement in wait stations 12 and 13 by rubber-tipped foot 16, depending from armature 17 of magnet assembly 18. When magnet 19 is de-energized, spring 20 pivots 17 so that 16 pinches card 10 against card bed 25. When cards are to be fed from wait station 12, magnet 19 is energized to attract armature 17. Cards are selectively fed from wait stations 12 and 13 to punching station 14 and from there to stacker 15.
