Abstract

A fast switching, temperature stable ferrite composition with a Br/Bs ratio of at least 0. 9 is obtained from the fired reaction product of MnCO(3), CuO, Li(2)CO(3) and Fe(2)O(3). The composition is represented in atom numbers as: Mn(0.873)Cu(0.154)Li(0.101)Fe(1.872)O(4).

Fast Square Loop Temperature Stable Ferrite Composition

A fast switching, temperature stable ferrite composition with a Br/Bs ratio of at least 0. 9 is obtained from the fired reaction product of MnCO(3), CuO, Li(2)CO(3) and Fe(2)O(3). The composition is represented in atom numbers as: Mn(0.873)Cu(0.154)Li(0.101)Fe(1.872)O(4).

By incorporating the lithium into the copper-manganese ferrite, the Curie temperature is increased about 50oC. Thus the temperature stability of the core is enhanced. This composition shows increased squareness and is well-suited for three-dimensional coincident current memory, logic and matrix switch core applications.
