Abstract

This sensor, for signaling when member 1 is rotating about an axis 2, comprises shield 3 normally held in the solid line position by supporting spring 4. It this position, shield 3 covers reflector 5 fastened directly to member 1 thus preventing stationary positioned photosensor 6 from receiving reflected light from source 7. When member 1 rotates, centrifugal force swings shield 3 to the dotted line position permitting photosensor 6 to receive reflected light from source 7 to indicate such rotation.
