Abstract

Electromagnetic transducer 10 is laterally spaced relative to electromagnetic transducer 11 so that 10 senses ferromagnetic slug 1 and 11 senses slugs 1... 4 of emitter disk 12. The output of 10 is amplified by 13 and is applied to DC set and reset inputs of flip-flops 15 and 20 respectively. Unique pulses are developed from the output of 11 which are amplified by 14. The amplified pulses are applied to negative And's 16, 17, and 18 and positive And's 21... 24. And 16 controls the resetting of 15. The AC setting and resetting of 20 is controlled respectively by And' s 17 and 18. Four different state combinations of 15 and 20 condition And's 21... 24 which gate the pulses coming from 11.
