Abstract

The the segments 1 are manufactured in one piece by injection moulding. Both spring element 4 and the type 3 are made of the same plastic such as polycarbonate. Type segments 1 can be inserted in a rotating belt 2. Spring elements 4 can also be made of resilient plastic such as DELRIN*. The type 3 can be made of steel or high-strength plastic, such as polyurethane. The two components are joined by injection moulding. A further arrangement consists in manufacturing spring elements 4 of spring steel and the type 3 of high-strength plastic such as polyurethane.
