Abstract

This arrangement allows the use of a single directional coupler for transmission of information over either one of opposite directions. C1 and C2 are strip line directional couplers. Driver D1, feeding coupler C1, sends information to receiver R1. Information fed to C1 through driver D2 is sent on the same line to receiver R2. This allows station A to communicate with both stations B1 and B2 with a minimum number of lines and couplers. Drivers and receivers are matched to line impedance.
