Abstract

A rotary core press, for compacting powder in die cavities, has rotary table T carrying a series of lower punch assemblies 1. Only one is shown. Assembly 1 is mounted on table T by slide saddle 2 that permits quick attachment and removal. Assembly 1 comprises punch 3 and core rod 4. Saddle 2 extends through slot 5 in punch 3 and has a slot 6 that receives a reduced diameter portion of rod 4. Saddle 2 fits into bore 7 in table T and is operative to hold rod 4 stationary. Slot 5 permits punch 3 to reciprocate vertically.
