Abstract

The invention relates to printed resistance elements having a laminated structure which elements display unexpected stability when exposed to various environments, in particular, stability in regard to resistance drift caused by exposure to heated and humid environments. The resistance element of the invention has a vase of nonconductive material having mounted thereon terminals with a printed resistance element having as a component thereof a finely divided metal and/or metal oxide material. An overlying layer of composed of a polyimide polymer material characterized as a condensation product of a tetracarboxylic acid and a diamine is disposed over resistance layer.
