Improved bonding and capacitance values for a capacitor read-only storage board are obtained by using a combination of polyester films.

After a printed circuit is etched from a copper-clad epoxy glass circuit board, it is covered with an amorphous polyester film. On the latter, in turn, is overlaid an oriented polyester film. The assembly, including the board and the polyester films, preferably concurrently is laminated under heat and pressure. However, if desired, the two films can be laminated into a composite film. The latter, in turn, is applied over the printed circuit and laminated to the board. In either case, the combination polyester film not only serves as the dielectric for the capacitors of the capacitor-type storage unit but also protects the copper circuit against oxidation.

Good results are obtained with Videne R, an amorphous polyester film product of Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. and with MYLAR*R, an oriented polyester film. * Trademark of E. I. Du Pont de Nemours and Co.
