Abstract

The usual magnetic brush developer is relatively complex. A simplified magnetic brush arrangement can be provided by utilizing helical iron spirals mounted on a rotatable non-magnetic cylinder. The rotatable iron spirals rotate in a toner carrying container and energizing magnets are mounted outside the container but in magnetic association with the spirals. Rotation of the spirals not only provides a magnetic brush which sweeps across a latent image to be developed but also accomplishes mixing of the toner ad carrier.
