Abstract

The display device comprises a plurality of logic elements 10. Each consists of flip-flop 12 which functions as one stage in a ring and defines one element in time. It can be turned on by a negative AC pulse at N. Two flip latches 14 and 16 are also contained in the element. One is used to control upper indicator 18 and the other lower indicator 20. Adjustable threshold devices are used to insure that the Signal 1 and Signal 2 applied are at or above the amplitudes established for each.

Test Display Device

The display device comprises a plurality of logic elements 10. Each consists of flip-flop 12 which functions as one stage in a ring and defines one element in time. It can be turned on by a negative AC pulse at N. Two flip latches 14 and 16 are also contained in the element. One is used to control upper indicator 18 and the other lower indicator 20. Adjustable threshold devices are used to insure that the Signal 1 and Signal 2 applied are at or above the amplitudes established for each.

Several elements are connected to form a ring. They are progressively stepped under the control of a ring drive bus. This is driven by the clock of the machine or system being tested. The various flip latches are turned on if, first, the logic flip-flop element is set, secondly, the selected signal threshold is exceeded and, thirdly, active. A visual display of the signal by the corresponding Up and Down indicators is obtained by setting different ones of the Up and Down indicators in the display.
