Microfiche Viewer Printer System

This microfiche viewer and printer employs a microfiche film holder or cartridge having memory buttons. The latter can be set for indicating first and last frames of a film to be printed.

A microfiche film to be viewed is inserted in a frame-like cartridge having binary settable devices such as plungers to remember first and last frames to be printed. A plunger or button can be provided for each column and each row locating the desired first frame by its X-Y coordinates. Similar buttons are provided for locating the desired last frame. In use, the cartridge is inserted in the viewer. Horizontal and vertical cartridge positioning knobs permit the operator to view any frame of the film. First and last frame memory set controls allow the operator to set the memory buttons for the frame that is being viewed.

After first and last frame buttons are set, the cartridge can be positioned in the printer. This can be adjacent to or remotely located from the viewer unit.
