Abstract

This basic circuit has high input impedance, low output impedance and a high drive capability. The circuit can be utilized as a Nor, Inverter, power driver, line driver, indicator driver, expander or line terminator. Emitter-followers 1 ... 3 perform a logical Or function and are coupled to Inverter 4 by way of a current limiting resistor 5 and a speed-up capacitor 6. The collector of Inverter 9 is coupled to the output terminal by an impedance changer comprising emitter-follower 7 and diode 8. The Nor function can be extended for a greater number of inputs by dot-Oring the collector electrodes of the Inverters of similar logic devices.
