Abstract

To fabricate an indicator lamp assembly for mounting on two printed circuit board pins, lamp 13 having two wire leads 15 and 17 is mounted in housing 19 having openings 21 and 23. Leads 15 and 17 project through openings 21 and 23 and are bent around to the outer surface of housing 19. Slightly oversize sleeve 25 of heat-shrinkable plastic is then positioned to encase the exposed ends leads 15 and 17 and a part of lamp 13 which projects from housing 19. By a hot-air blower or low-temperature oven, sleeve 25 is shrunk to housing 19 and lamp 13 to give a permanent, durable assembly. :FC 08-150.
