Abstract

Vibratory feeder bowl 10 delivers magnetic cores C to the pickup probes of a core tester. Bowl 10 includes a single track 11 having a uniform negative angle throughout its length. A negative angle is one where the included angle between the track and side wall is greater than 90 degrees. From the bottom of bowl 10, track 11 gradually increases in height and radius until it terminates at a pickup point. Here a hardened insert 12 presents each core at the proper angle for pickup by the core tester probes.
